WARNUNG
•
Kontrolllösung nicht einnehmen! Die Kontrolllösung ist ein
In-vitro-Diagnostikum. Das bedeutet, dass sie nur für Funk-
tionstests außerhalb des Körpers verwendet werden darf.
•
Der auf der Teststreifen-Dose auf gedruckte Ergebnisbereich
gilt nur für die Kontrolllösung. Dies ist kein em pfohlener
Wert für Ihren Blutzucker-Gehalt.
•
Kontrolllösungen und Blut reagieren unterschiedlich auf
Temperatureinflüsse. Es ist deshalb zwingend notwendig
dieKontrolllösungsmessung immer im Kontrolllösungs-
Modus durchzuführen. Andernfalls kann es zu Ergebnis-
sen außerhalb des Zielbereichs kommen.
•
Wenn Sie wiederholt Messergebnisse mit der Kontroll-
lösung außer halb des vorgegebenen Bereichs erhalten,
dürfen Sie das System nicht mehr verwenden, um Ih-
ren Blutzucker-Gehalt zu bestimmen. Setzen Sie sich mit
dem Kunden service in Verbindung.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die Kontrolllösung (LEVEL 3, LEVEL 4) wird zusammen mit den
Beurer GL44-, GL50-, GL50 evo-Teststreifen und den Beurer
Blutzucker-Messgeräten GL44, GL50, GL50 evo benutzt. Sie
dient zur Überprüfung, ob das Messgerät und die Teststreifen
optimal zu sammen arbeiten und ob der Test richtig durchgeführt
wird. Um genaue Messergebnisse sicherzustellen, müssen Sie
diese Überprüfung mit der Kontrolllösung (LEVEL 3, LEVEL 4)
regel mäßig durchführen, in jedem Fall mit jeder neu geöneten
Teststreifen-Dose. Jede Flasche enthält eine aus reichen de Menge
für ca. 75 Tests. Die Kontrolllösung (LEVEL 3, LEVEL 4) ist zur
Eigenanwendung geeignet.
Hinweise zur Handhabung und Aufbewahrung
Lesen Sie folgende Informationen zur Handhabung und Aufbe-
wahrung der Kontrolllösung gründlich. Nur wenn Sie alle Hin weise
beachten, ist der Funktionstest mit der Kontrolllösung zuverlässig.
•
Niemals Kontrolllösungen anderer Hersteller verwenden. Die
korrekte Funktions fähigkeit Ihres Beurer Blutzucker-Mess-
gerätes ist anderenfalls nicht überprüfbar.
•
Kontrolllösung nicht mehr verwenden bei Überschreiten des
Verfallsdatums. Die Verwendung verfallener Kontrolllösung kann
zu falschen Funktionstest-Ergebnissen führen. Sie finden das
Verfallsdatum auf der Flasche neben dem Sanduhr-Symbol .
•
Nach Önen der Flasche ist die Kontrolllösung drei Monate
haltbar. Notieren Sie das Ablaufdatum (Önungsdatum + 3 Mo-
nate ) auf dem beschriftbaren Etikett. Die Haltbarkeit verkürzt
sich bei Überschneidung mit dem Verfallsdatum (siehe Datum
neben dem Sanduhr-Symbol
).
•
Verwenden Sie die Kontrolllösung nicht mehr, wenn eines der
beiden Verfallsdaten (
/ ) a/jointfilesconvert/1716807/bgelaufen ist.
•
Messgerät, Teststreifen und Kontrolllösung vor dem Test auf
Zimmertemperatur (20 °C bis 26 °C) bringen.
•
Lagern Sie die Kontrolllösung fest verschlossen bei Zim mer-
temperatur unter 30 °C. Nicht gekühlt lagern. (2 °C – 30 °C)
•
Bewahren Sie die Kontrolllösung für Kleinkinder unzugäng-
lich auf.
•
Lagern Sie die Kontrolllösung nicht im Medikamentenschrank.
Es besteht Verwechslungsgefahr mit Medikamenten zur Ein-
nahme.
Zur Funktionsweise
Die Kontrolllösung enthält einen festgelegten Anteil an Glukose,
der mit dem Teststreifen reagiert. Ein Test mit Kontrolllösung äh-
nelt einem Bluttest. Es wird jedoch anstelle eines Blutstropfens
die Kontrolllösung verwendet. Das Mess ergebnis von der Kon-
trolllösung muss inner halb des Ergebnisbereichs liegen. Dieser
Ergebnisbereich ist auf jeder Teststreifen-Dose aufgedruckt.
Wann ist ein Test mit der Kontrolllösung empfohlen?
•
Einmal pro Woche.
•
Nach Önen einer neuen Dose mit Teststreifen.
•
Wenn Sie vermuten, dass das Messgerät oder die Test streifen
defekt sein könnten.
•
Wenn Ihre Blutzucker-Messwerte sich nicht mit Ihrem körper-
lichen Empfinden decken.
•
Wenn das Messgerät heruntergefallen ist oder anderen mecha-
nischen Belastungen ausgesetzt war.
•
Bei wiederholt unerwarteten Blutzuckermessergebnissen.
•
Wenn Teststreifen Temperaturen außerhalb der Lagerbedin-
gungen (2 °C – 30 °C) ausgesetzt worden sind.
•
Grundsätzlich, wenn Sie falsche Blutzucker-Ergebnisse ver-
muten.
Ein einziger Test mit Kontrolllösung, dessen Ergebnis inner halb
des Ergebnisbereiches liegt, ist ausreichend.
•
Die Kontrolllösung kann Ihre Kleidung verfärben. Waschen Sie
in diesem Fall die Kleidung mit Wasser und Seife.
•
Verschließen Sie die Kontrolllösung nach jedem Gebrauch
sorgfältig.
•
Überschüssig herausgedrückte Kontroll-Flüssigkeit darf nicht
wieder zurückgesaugt werden.
Messgerät prüfen mit Kontrolllösung
Zur Durchführung des Funktionstests lesen Sie die Ge brauchs-
anleitung Ihres Messgerätes.
Zu erwartende Ergebnisse
Bei Zimmertemperatur sollten die Messergebnisse des Tests mit
Kontrolllösung bei ca. 95 % aller Tests in dem Ergebnis bereich
liegen, der auf der Teststreifen-Dose auf gedruckt ist. Ursachen
und Maßnahmen für außerhalb liegende Mess ergebnisse, siehe
Gebrauchsanleitung Ihres Messgerätes.
Beachten Sie, dass aus der genauen Lage des Messergebnisses
im Ergebnisbereich kein Rückschluss auf Genauigkeitsverände-
rungen gezogen werden kann. Solange ein Testergebnis innerhalb
des erwarteten Ergebnisbereichs liegt, entspricht die Blutzucker-
Messung der mit den Spezifikationen gegebenen Genauigkeit.
Chemische Zusammensetzung
Die Kontrolllösung ist eine rote Farblösung mit folgenden D-Glu-
koseanteilen (in Prozentanteilen):

WARNING
•
Not for internal use. The control solution is an in-vitro di-
agnostic agent. This means that it is intended for function
tests outside the body only.
•
The results range printed on the test strip container is only
applicable to the control solution. It is not a recommended
value for your blood glucose level.
•
Control solutions and blood react to temperature influences
in dierent ways. It is therefore of vital importance that
control solution measurement is always performed in
control solution mode. If this mode is not used, results
may be obtained that are outside the target range.
•
If you receive repeated results outside the specified range
with the control solution, do not continue using the sys
-
tem to measure your blood glucose level. Contact our
Customer Service department.
Proper use
The control solution (LEVEL 3, LEVEL 4) is used in conjunction
with the Beurer GL44, GL50 and GL50 evo test strip and the
Beurer GL44, GL50 and GL50 evo blood glucose monitors. It
is used to check that the monitor and test strips operate together
correctly and whether the test is conducted correctly. The test
with the control solution (LEVEL 3, LEVEL 4) must be conducted
regularly to ensure that your test results are accurate, and always
when you open a new container of test strips. Every vial contains
enough solution for about 75 tests. The control solution (LEVEL
3, LEVEL 4) is suitable for self-testing.
Instructions for Use and Storage
Read carefully the following information on the use and storage
of your control solution. The function test with the control solu
-
tion will only be reliable if you follow all instructions carefully.
•
Never use control solutions from other manufacturers. It will be
impossible to check that your Beurer blood glucose monitor
operates correctly with other control solutions.
•
Do not use control solution after the use-by date. If expired
control solution is used, function test results may be inac-
curate. The use-by date can be found on the vial beside the
hourglass icon
.
•
The control solution can be stored for three months after open-
ing the vial. Write this use-by date (date of opening + 3 months
) on the label. The storage time is reduced if it extends be-
yond the use-by date (see date beside the hourglass icon ).
•
Do not continue to use the control solution if one of the use-by
dates ( / ) has expired.
•
Monitor, test strips, and control solution must be brought to
room temperature (20 °C to 26 °C) before the test.
•
Store the control solution tightly closed at room temperature
below 30 °C. Do not store under refrigeration.
(2 °C – 30 °C)
•
Store the control solution out of reach of small children.
•
Do not store the control solution in the medicine cabinet. It may
be confused with medications for internal use.
How it works
The control solution contains a specific proportion of glucose,
which reacts with the test strip. A test with control solution is
similar to a blood test. The only dierence is that a drop of control
solution is used instead of a drop of blood. The test result with
the control solution must be within the measurement range. The
result range is printed on every test strip container.
When is a test with control solution recommended?
•
Once a week.
•
After opening a new test strip container.
•
If you think the monitoring system or the test strips may be
faulty.
•
If you feel that the blood glucose monitor readings do not
reflect how you feel.
•
If you have dropped the monitor or it has been subjected to
any mechanical stress.
•
In the event of repeated unexpected blood glucose meas-
uring results.
•
If the test strips have been exposed to temperatures outside
the specified storage conditions (2 °C – 30 °C).
•
At any time if you suspect that the glucose test results are
incorrect.
One single test with control solution with a result within the re
-
sults range is sucient.
•
The control solution may stain your clothes. In the event of
staining, wash clothing with soap and water.
•
Seal the control solution carefully after each use.
•
Any excess control fluid dispensed must not be drawn back
into the container.
Checking the monitor with control solution
Read the Instructions for Use for your monitor to conduct the
function test.
Expected results
At room temperature the test results with the control solution
should be within the range printed on the test strip container
for approximately 95 % of all tests. See the Instructions for Use
for your monitor for the causes of out-of-range test results and
how you should respond.
Note that conclusions about changes in accuracy cannot be
drawn from where the test result stands in the range. As long as a
test result is within the expected range, the blood glucose meas-
urement conforms to the accuracy given in the specifications.
