3.4 Temperature settings
Setting: 0 Off
1 Minimum heat
2 Medium heat
3 Maximum heat
3.5 Automatic switch-off function
These heating pads have an automatic switchoff function which stops the heat sup-
ply approx. 90 minutes after switching on the pad. The illuminated function display
then starts to flash. To operate the heating pad again, you must first set the switch to
zero. After about 5 seconds, it can be switched on again.
If the heating pad is no longer used after the timed switch-off, it should be switched off (setting
“0”) or else unplugged from the mains.
3.6 Fast heating
These heating pads have a fast heating function which allows them to heat up quickly
within the first 10 minutes.
3.7 Additional information for HK 58 Cosy
The particular shape of this heating pad was developed specially for
use in the back and neck areas. Position the heating pad on the back
so the Velcro fastener is in the area of the neck. Then close the Velcro
fastener. Adjust the length of the stomach belt so it is comfortable and
connect the two buckles to close the belt.
To open the buckle press the tabs simultaneously as shown in the il-
lustration.
4. Cleaning and Care
Before cleaning the heating pad, always unplug it from the mains.
HK 45, 58, 125: Smaller stains on the heating pad can be removed using
a cloth or moist sponge together with a little liquid detergent for delicate
fabrics if necessary. Do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents
on the appliance.
Please note that the heating pad should not be dry-cleaned, wrung out, machine-dried, pressed
or ironed.
Before washing, first remove the plug-in connection together with the switch from the heating
pad (see illustration). Set the washing machine to a gentle washing cycle at 30 °C.
For ecological reasons, we recommend that the heating pad is only washed together with other
textiles. Use a washing powder or liquid for delicate fabrics and dose it according to the manu-
facturers instructions.
Please note that excessive washing will wear out the heating pad. For this reason, the heating
pad should only be machine-washed a maximum of 10 times throughout its entire life.
When drying the heating pad, do not use clothes pegs or anything similar, and never
switch the heating pad on to dry it!
Do not reconnect the switch to the heating pad until the plug-in connection and the heat-
ing pad are completely dry.
