11. Cleaning, maintenance and disposal
NOTICE:
Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations
and heat sources which are too close (e.g. stoves, heating radiators). This may damage the unit.
Please see section 11 “Cleaning, maintenance and disposal” and section 12 “Technical specifica-
tions” for details.

o not use any aggressive solvents, cleaning agents, detergents or any other strong chemicals
to clean the device.
Never immerse and or spill water or any other liquid onto the scale, otherwise liquid will enter the
scale and cause damage.
D
o not wash the scale in a washing machine, dish washer or tumble dryer.
O
bserve the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with
local regulations.
D
o not press the buttons with excessive force or with any pointed objects.

ever attempt to repair the instrument or adjust it yourself. This may damage the unit and impair
the functions. If you need to have the unit repaired, please contact our customer service. Please
see warranty for service contact. Before submitting any complaint, first check the batteries and
replace them if necessary.

hanges or modifications to the device will nullify the user warranty.
Cleaning and maintaining
To keep your scale in the best condition and protect the unit from damage follow the directions below:
The scale should occasionally be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents and never submerge the scale. The unit is not waterproof. Do not
immerse the unit in water and do not spill water over the unit.
If your scale accidentally gets wet immediately
clean off the water.
Store the unit in a safe and dry location. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, extreme hot or cold tem-
peratures or humidity. Thoroughly dry any moisture off the unit before storing. Store the unit safely out of the
reach of children. Do not subject the unit to strong shocks, such as dropping the unit on the floor. Always
use the unit following the instructions provided in this manual.
Disposal
NOTICE:

atteries should be disposed of separately from household waste. Always dispose of batteries
as per your local regulations. Again, do not dispose of batteries with normal household waste.

bserve the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with
local regulations. If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for
waste disposal.
