1. Important safety notes
Signs and symbols
The following signs appear in the Safety Section (page 2, 3) and in this manual on pages 6, 7, 10, 11, 12.
READ THIS ENTIRE MANUAL INCLUDING THE SAFETY SECTION AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS
AND WARNINGS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. FOLLOW
ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS TO AVOID HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS AND TO
MAKE CORRECT USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
WARNING:
Never use, or allow others to use, this unit in combination with the following medical electronic
devices,
(1) Medical electronic implants such as pacemakers,
(2) Electronic life support systems such as an artificial heart/lung,
(3) Portable electronic medical devices such as an electrocardiograph.
This scale passes a harmless and unnoticeable electrical current of 0 kHz and less than 5μA
through your body when taking a measurement. This electrical current is not felt while using the
scale. This unit may cause the above mentioned medical devices to malfunction.
This product is not intended for use by pregnant women.
This product is not intended for use by infants, toddlers, and children under 10 years of age.
Packaging materials are a deadly hazard for children and can cause suffocation. Remove all pack-
aging materials immediately and keep them away from children at all times.
Swallowing batteries and/or battery fluid can be extremely dangerous. Keep the battery and scale
out of the reach of children and disabled persons. Should any person swallow a battery and/or
battery fluid, please call 911 immediately.
Should battery fluid leak and come into contact with your eyes or skin
, immediately rinse with plenty
of clean water. Please call 911 immediately.
Batteries should not be charged or reactivated by any other means.
Batteries should not be taken apart, thrown in the fire or short circuited.
Do not step on the edge of the scale (e.g. when getting on or off), otherwise it may tip.
Do not jump on the scale.
Protect the scale against hard knocks, temperature fluctuations and heat sources which are too
close (e.g. stoves, heating radiators).
Do not drop the scale or drop any objects on it.
Do not step or stand on the scale when your body and/or feet are wet, for example after taking a
bath or shower. There is a danger of slipping.
Do not step on the scale when its surface is wet. There is a danger of slipping.
Do not use the unit on slippery surfaces such as wet floors. There is a danger of slipping.
This product does not and is not intended to provide a medical diagnosis. For medical advice please

The measurements provided are not substitutes for physician assessments. For medical advice

Please be aware that values obtained from this body analysis scale represent only an approximation
of actual analytical medical data. Only a specialist physician can accurately determine body fat, body
water and muscle percentage using special medical procedures (e.g. computed tomography).
