The cuff has to be fitted tightly around the wristbut should
not constrict it.
Important: The instrument should only be operated with the
original cuff.
5.2 Measuring blood pressure
Please sit down comfortably.
Put on the cuff as described previously and assume the
position in which you want to carry out the measurement.
Make sure to rest your arm and
move it so that the device is
at heart level (see image). An
O.K. symbol was integrated
into the device to additionally
assist you. It signals the
correct position of the blood
pressure monitor. You are in the right position if all you
can see on the display is O.K.
Please make sure to have a 5 –10 minute period of rest
before measurement.
Switch on the blood pressure monitor with the start/stop
button
.
After the self test, during which all display elements are
briefly displayed, measurement begins. The pressure is
increased to 190 mmHg. If this pressure is insufficient, the
device automatically pumps an extra 30 mmHG (Fuzzy
Logic).
When the measurement has been taken, the remaining air
pressure dissipates very quickly. It displays pulse, systolic
and diastolic blood pressure as well as the resting indicator
(see Chapter 5.4).
Now use the M1 and M2 memory buttons to select the
desired user memory. If you do not select a user memory,
the measurement is stored in the most recently used user
memory. The relevant symbol “M1” or “M2” appears in
the display.
Using the start/stop button, switch off the blood pres-
sure monitor. The measurement is then stored in the
selected user memory. If you forget to turn off the device,
it will switch off automatically after approx. 3 minutes.
In this case too, the value is stored in the selected user
memory.
You can interrupt measurement at any time by pressing
the start/stop button
. Wait at least 5 minutes before
taking another measurement!
